Geneva Business Women College Scholarship

In 2006, Geneva Business Women instituted a scholarship for female residents of Geneva planning to attend college. From humble beginnings of one $500 scholarship, we award anywhere from $5,000-$8,000 per year.

GBW Scholarship Eligibility

Eligibility for the GBW scholarship:

1. High school senior includes having a permanent address in Geneva and attending Geneva High School or A-TECH, or open enrollment in another school district, or attending private school, or homeschooling.

2. Adult women who reside in Geneva and are planning to attend college or are currently enrolled in college are also eligible.

3. The exception to the Geneva residency rule is a young woman who lives outside of Geneva but open enrolls in Geneva High School.

4. To be considered for this scholarship you must meet all requirements listed on the scholarship application form.

FUNDRAISER – Purses & Pastries

Every year Geneva Business Women award scholarship money to young women from the community. Scholarship money comes from the Purses & Pastries fundraiser each Spring.

Attendees gather at Grand River Cellar Winery & Restaurant for:

• Purse Exchange

• 50/50 purse raffle

• Games & Prizes

• Basket raffle

• Homemade Pastries

For the purse exchange, all ticket holders bring in a purse in excellent, used condition free of rips, tears, marks & stains, with working zippers. A surprise gift (at least $5 value) must be included inside the purse.
